Signs Your Sprinkler System Needs Repair

If you have never run into any issues with your sprinkler system before, consider yourself lucky! Some repairs that many sprinkler systems need can get costly, and while a few repairs can be done quickly and cheap, you still want to keep an eye out for some key signs that your sprinkler system may be malfunctioning, as it will be much easier to address sooner than later.

Of course, you will want a professional to address and fix any sort of problems you may be having, even if you think you can do it yourself, it’s better to be safe than sorry! Here’s what you need to look out for!

Water flow is irregular

Whether your sprinkler head is dribbling, sputtering, or just putting water out irregularly, any sort of interruption or inconsistency in your water flow is a red flag, and a tell-tale sign that your sprinkler system is in need of a repair. There are a few different things this could be, such as a simple clog or a cracked head, so it’ll likely be an easy fix.

No pressure

You know when you go to someone else’s house and their shower’s water pressure just isn’t what you’re used to having at your own shower? The same thing can happen to your sprinkler system. Water pressure can decrease due to a minor malfunction within the system that needs to be fixed.

Inconsistent watering

If you’ve noticed strange, random little pools of water in different areas of your yard, or worse– your driveways is flooded, you may be facing a problem with how evenly your sprinkler system is watering your lawn. Chances are, you’ll just need to give the head a slight adjustment in order to fix this issue.

High water bill

One of the worst things that your sprinkler system malfunctioning can cause is your water bill to skyrocket. Sometimes, a malfunction caused by a leak in your sprinkler system will force the system to use WAY more water than it’s intended to. This is probably the most expensive issue to fix, but the sooner you address it the less likely it is to break your bank.

Precaution: Any new landscaping additions may call for a cautionary check

Even if you feel that your sprinkler system is running beautifully, you’ll want to have it checked out by a professional to ensure you won’t face any future damages. Have someone come out either during your landscaping project or after it’s completed to run some tests and inspect your system to make sure uts is running adequately and correctly. You can check out some of your local Denver sprinkler repair professionals for any and all of your sprinkler needs!

Whether you’ve dealt with many problems with your sprinkler system in the past or you’ve never had an issue before, it’s always a good idea to call a professional to come and do inspections every now and again so you can sleep well at night knowing your system is running perfectly. You won’t regret it, as dealing with the problems after they’ve already occurred can be both costly and just a pain in general.
